Recycling Platform in Benfeld

SPIESS has a multi-activity recycling platform at its Benfeld site. Professionals and individuals can drop off construction waste there for treatment that is both suitable and environmentally friendly.

We process and transform construction waste into several recycled materials thanks to our equipment, in particular our crusher-screener.

• Concrete and asphalt are transformed into RBE (Recycled Concrete Asphalt) in two different grain sizes: 0/50 and 0/20.
• Rubble is recycled into RTV (Recycled Mixed Materials) with a grain size of 0/60.
• Excavated soil is screened and used as technical backfill for construction. This material is available in 0/20.

Our platform is equipped with a wheel washer for heavy trucks to prevent spreading soil on our site and the surrounding roads.

The secondary platform serves as a transit point and accepts different types of products.

• Green waste is treated in partnership with specialists in organic waste recovery.
• DIB (non-hazardous industrial waste) is received, sorted, and processed in partnership with specialized treatment companies.
• Wood is divided into two categories: Category A corresponds to wood that has never been treated, such as pallets, and Category B to wood that has already been processed. This wood is shredded and then transported to specialized recycling platforms.
